More pictures

Don't you always wonder why some moms put stuff in their baby girls' hair, even though the baby may not have hair and the hair item is disproportionate, etc.? Although the hair band, in this case, started out kind of cute . . .

it ended up looking like we were holding our own daughter for ransom.

We are blessed to have Grandma Forman (Greta's mom) with us for a week. She has been a blessing in the night hours. :)

Such a cute little girl, in our humble opinion.

Josh entitled the picture below, Praying for Milk. Meredith likes to have her hands by her face. We swaddle her tightly at night, but find she has worked her hands out in no time.

This time last week...

Over the last week, we've been noting to ourselves what were "doing last week this time," because in just one week our lives have changed so much. Last Friday, we were out to dinner for Greta's birthday, not worried about the baby getting hungry or being fussy. Last Saturday we went over to Josh's brother's house for dinner, not knowing the next morning we would be headed to the hospital. We have rejoiced over the last week, not only in the miracle of a new life, but also in the faithfulness and immutability of our God. Even when we go through changes in life, our Savior remains the same.

A few pictures from Meredith's first 24 hours

The Best Father's Day Ever!

Yesterday at 2:13pm our lives changes forever as Meredith Grace announced to all within earshot that she was here. We praise the Lord that Greta's pregnancy and delivery were relatively uneventful and that Meredith and mom are doing great.
The specifics: Meredith weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. and measured 20 1/2 inches.
The fun stuff: We think she looks more like Greta and she has quite the vocal ability (she definitely comes by it honestly). As you can see from the pictures, Meredith has lots of hair and it is dark.
We think she is just beautiful!
