Reading with Daddy

Meredith has begun enjoying books. She looks at the pictures and listens very intently. The other day, Daddy read to her for a while.

Reading "What Makes a Rainbow"

Each page adds another ribbon to eventually create a rainbow.

First Haircut

Meredith was born with lots of dark hair which has only grown over the past 3 months. So last week, it was time for a trim.

This crazy woman is going to do the trimming?

Hey, this isn't so bad.

(So you know that Mommy doesn't always look like that picture above. Yikes!)

"Pennsylvania, America starts here."

Our last and longest stop was in PA where we stayed on the farm with Meredith's grandma and grandpa Forman and great grandma Tuttle and saw lots of other family members.

Grandma Forman was happy to see Meredith again. They hadn't been together since Grandma came to visit when Meredith was born.

Meredith met Great grandma Tuttle who has lots of experience with babies.

Meredith says, "Wow, Mommy's Uncle Carl is one big guy!"

Uncle Steve, Aunt Carolyn, and Cousin Emma came up to the farm for the weekend.

Mommy's cousin Ryan and his wife Silvana also came to see us. They brought Meredith a sweatshirt and a cute teddy bear.

Even after visiting with lots of family, Meredith's favorite relative is still her goofy dad.

"On the road again..."

After our time in Tennessee, we drove up to Pennsylvania to see more family!

Meredith enjoyed riding in the car.

Our faithful driver and navigator.

Cruising in style.

"Good ole Rocky Top..."

Our second stop was in Greenville, SC where we apparently took no pictures.
Our third stop was in Johnson City, TN where we spent Labor Day with Josh's sister and her family.

Meredith's oldest cousin, Abby, was always willing to hold and entertain little M.

Cousin Madison was lots of fun!

Uncle Jimmy, having 2 girls of his own, knew just what to do with a third little girl.

The girls were a big help with Meredith. Both changing her and...

Feeding her.

Our trip

We're back! We just returned from a 2 week trip to the East Coast to visit family and friends. Sorry we haven't posted pictures in quite a while--we know Meredith's many fans have been tortured by the lack of updated photos. But alas, Greta's parents have dial-up internet, so posting would have been a long and arduous task. However, consider the new pictures below as recompense for your patience.

Our first stop was in Greensboro, NC for a wedding in which Josh was the best man.

The hotel had a big bed which Meredith enjoyed, but only in her waking hours, since the hotel provided a crib that looked like it had been purchased from the dent and scratch sale at the Romanian orphanage.

All ready for the wedding!

I love weddings!
